Hi
The best advice I can give is,
Work on developing the height first. The power comes after.
When you Slapshot though give it you all. So many people hesitate and that is a second to late. Be fully commited to the shot. It is not just your stick that does the work but your whole body. Swing from the shoulders and your stomach and allow the move to flow.
I have a stick which is good for slapshots. It is heavy and allows a good swing. Try it on wed.

Naths a good teacher for this one. I couldnt do it at all until he showed me, now I can get some quite good shots - even if they are a bit girlie and only when I really concentrate!!
