Sorry for the delay in answering. The location is the Sovereign Centre at Eastbourne. There is a very large grass field close to the centre that will be used for parking. As we are starting quite early you should be able to park right at the seaward end, close to the centre.

I hope to post more details on here tomorrow after Tony and I have had a chat tonight to finalise things. We should have 3 teams, albeit possibly a "mostly Maidstone" one. The aim is a couple of games to demonstrate our type of hockey - i.e.skill based, and not kicking the **** out of each other. The with the remaining time (possibly beyween games as well) getting spectators on skates to come and have a go.

We are assuming we will have 3 teams - Ely, Leighton Buzzard and "mostly" Maidstone. In which case we will have a 3 team tournament - say 30 minute games with a 15 minute break (possibly longer) between games. First game to start as close to 9 am as possible.

Depending on the number of spectators who would like to "have a go" between and after games, we will adjust teh times accordingly.

We would like participation in helping to introduce others to the sport as well as the actual games themselves. Again, what we need depends on how many want to try it out.

The organisers tell me they will supply some trohies or medals and that the award presentation can be done after we have finished up at the main arena half a mile along the sea front.

At the main arena there are demos and competitions of various kinds. Entry is free. They are particularly keen to have some quaddies in the tug of war competition.

Cheers Peter,
I had a great time, and as ive only been playing 6 months it was great to get some match experience!

The team that played on sunday was our club's 'B' team, and will be entering there first year into division 3 of eastern counties in the up and coming season. Who knows from there!!

Let us know if this will be happening again next year, i'm sure some of our club members would be more than happy to give up some of there time to help increase the profile of this most excelent game. and make it a bigger success.
