Excellent news. I am 99% certain we are okay - now we hav ea definite date I can chase the "probables" up.
If we are short of a player will you be able to provide one?

I am now 100% certain that we are NOT okay. Of the half a dozen club members who said they'd like to play in tournaments whenever possible
2 of us have committed to coming
1 is on holiday
1 has lost interest
2 I have not seen for the last few weeks
What is the latest date at which we must decide yes or no?
I am really wondering why I bothered to try and get something going for the club members who won't be playing in any leagues.

Peter,
I will need to know by 2nd October (4 weeks in advance of the date)
I hope you can get a team sorted, but let us know if not and we can see what else we can arrange.

If peter and his collegue wanted to come down, could we not find 2/3 people to join them?
I would have thought michael would jump at the chance of playing in a friendy as just the other day he was asking me how much harder was proper matches rather than training.
If peter is up for this, we can check with people on weds training to see if anyone would like to help make a team up?

I'll find out on Tuesday night about that suggestion. I'm up for it. I am still hoping we can get a team together though. That's the whole point of the exercise - genuine tournament play for those who woiudlnot otherise get any. It is so frustrating.

I'm sorry to say that the proposal for a team from Southsea has just fallen flat. Only two of us, out of 6 or 7 who were committed to play back in September, committed ourselves to play in this mini-tournament. Sorry to have raised your hopes that we might have been able to raise a team - I don't know why I bothered to try and arrange games for them in the first place.
There was, at one time, a suggestion that Southsea mighty enter a team in the ECRHA Div 3. But if we can't get a team up for a small one-of tournament, what chance would we have of geting one together for 5 or 6 tournaments?
Once again, sorry to have raised your hopes (and mine). Best wishes for thee forthcoming season. I'll be looking at your results.

peter, if you and the other person still want to come to leighton buzzard, then i am sure we would be able to find 2/3 people to make up your team.
Let us know your thoughts and then we can try to sort everything out.
cheers

That would be excellent - I'll confirm the other person . Neither of us are crash hot which is why we aren't in the Southsea team

Unfortunately Southsea have had to pull out of this one due to lack of players, but Ely should be confirimg their team within the next few days.
The plan now is to have 3 teams - Our A team, B team and an Ely team. There will be 3 matches so everyone plays everyone else, between 3pm and 5pm on Saturday 30th.
Can all those A and B team players able to play on that day confirm with me on Wednesday so I can finialise the teams.
Cheers

Apologies for Southsea pulling out. All those who were definitely up for it suddenly found "other things to do". I cannot stand unreliability so I will not be trying to organise anything for these people again.
Sorry to have let you down.

I have some bad news to report.
I have just found out that Ely are pulling out of the friendly tournament due to lack of players because of it being half term on the 30th weekend.
Does everyone want to keep the A v B game for the normal hour? The juniors have already been told that they will not be playing that day, although if we do cancel our game I'm sure we would still be able to get enough players for usual saturday training.
Let me know your thoughts.
