Dispite my efforts to discuss issues with John Bishop and offer to assist the school in repairing damage to the hall ( 90% of which is not down to us ) it seems the John Bishop is not even going to talk to me and instead passes on messages of "NO!! and that is final" Does he think I'm one of his kids ?? Come on John don't be scared, come and talk to me !!
I cannot see how we as a club could be anymore reasonable. We have offered to pay to remove the markes caused by our goals and ensure it does not happen in the future. We have offered to clean or repair the door behind the goal. We have offered to repair the barriers which is not our responsibility and we have offered to varnish the skirting around the hall.
So now I move onward to the Headteacher (Andrew Warren), The Citizen newspaper and Jane Moakes the sports development officer from the local county council.
Will keep you all posted.

prehaps we should try a more formal approach . faxes letters ect explain how alot of the damage i`snt down to us, but other people .also whats more annoying is we own up to it ! and offer our financial assistance to put it right ,what more do they want if you ask me they don`t like putting out the barriers full stop and staff just want an an easy life !prehaps the trying to kick us out for other reasons who knows what! if this fails we should go public write a letter to the l/buzzard paper informing people roller hockey has no future in bedfordshire! i don`t think anyone needs bad publisity do you! MK is too far for alot of us tidden foot is so much of a good and convienent venu for all of us! shame

I agree, leighton is an ideal, central point to most people. unfortunatley, depending on cedars decision, we may have to look at different options.
Is there anywhere else in leighton? The other schools in leighton that might let you hire there hall is gilbert inglefield or vandyke upper school. Or possibly leighton middle school...

At the moment the school are trying to get answers themselves from John Bishop. It seems only he knows why the decission has been made to stop us using the hall.

Just can't beleive what is going on. Now if the school are the owner's surely its up to headmaster or the PTA to decide the outcome. Judgement cannot be left to one soul.
I hope he discuss's the issue's face to face, not through third party.
It is important the venue can be used. All school halls have too much glass. Again another problem.
If it comes down to we will have to pool together and gets the players to another venue close by. |

Still we have not heard anything from Ceders school. At the moment they will not extend our booking for another month and have not come to us with any offers of discussion. As it stands their answer is no ! This means folks that tomorrow (Wed 26th Jan) will be our last full training session with the open session on Sat 29th Jan being the last session of LBRHC. I am sorry I havnt been able to do more to keep the venue.
I will go to the papers and ask them to voice our concern. I will also search for new venues but disscusion for that last time took a few months.
At the moment I would say that LBRHC is dead !
Thank you John.

Help needed This club is not my club, this is your club. I know I asked everyone to let me deal with it but I have got nowhere.
Now its your turn.
Do whatever you can.

I'll try to talk to the Head of Cedars. Maybe he'll talk to me, as a student there? If it would help, do you want me to talk to the papers about how this affects my Duke of Edinburgh Award, which I'm undertaking through the school? And how roller hockey helps to loosen up my bad leg, an injury sustained at the school?
